Looking good!

Here’s a picture of a tent that is often used to justify the hub and spoke method of construction;

And take a look at the photo I took of the nice sized bell last weekend;

Look!  No framing, just a centre pole, good shaping of the roof pieces and a bunch of ropes!

  1. Maybe you are referring to the Cowdray House paintings? Only surviving as sketches – Henry VIII’s camp before Marquison. Lots of tents being blown around including some which seem to have totally rigid rectangular roofs and a few with conical roofs and the walls and ropes all over the place.
